Free Tutorial Registration for Student Participants

There are still a limited number of places available for the ICIP2010 tutorials, which will be held on September 26 (Sunday). Don't miss the Seafood Welcome Reception on September 26, 2010 (Sunday)

Following are the details of the ICIP2010 Welcome Reception:

Place: Metropol Restaurant (名都酒家)
Address: Address: 4/F., United Centre, 95 Queensway, Central, Hong Kong
Date: September 26, 2010 (Sunday)
Time: 18:00 - 21:00

Buses will be arranged to take attendees from the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre to the Metropol Restaurant between 17:30 and 18:30. Traditional Cantonese cuisine such as dim sum, roast chicken, seafood (LOBSTER, SHRIMP, STEAM FISH, ...), etc. will be served.

The restaurant is located at Admiralty, which is a big shopping area on Hong Kong Island and is next to Central. Attendees can walk around these nearby areas, and can return to your hotels on the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) (from the "Admiralty" station to the "Wan Chai" station). Travel Options:
  1. By Coach (Highly Recommended): Just wait at the Coach area at 6.00-7.00 (Coaches will leave the area regularly or when it is full).
  2. By Underground (Acceptable way): Walk from the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) to Wan Chai MTR station as shown using foot bridge (you should pass through Renaissance Harbour View Hotel, Central Plaza and Immigration Tower and then follow the foot bridge walk towards the Wan Chai MTR station direction). Then take the Central line to Admiralty Station, come out from Exit D and go to the Metropol Restaurant at 4/F of United Centre using lift.
  3. By Walk (Not Recommended, but a possible way): Similarly to option 2, walk from the HKCEC towards the Wan Chai MTR station. Then step down to the ground level at Hennessy Road, turn right and walk towards the Admiralty MTR station. Finally you will reach the Metropol Restaurant of United Centre which is next to the Admiralty MTR station.

Free shuttle bus services from Hong Kong International Airport to Wanchai area, September 25 and 26, 2010 (Saturday and Sunday)

ICIP2010 will set up an arrangement at the airport, where ICIP2010 attendees can take free shuttle bus services to their hotel near the Conference site (HKCEC). Please click here to download the hotel shuttle bus meeting point at Hong Kong International Airport.

Cultural exhibits before the banquet on September 28, 2010 (Tuesday)

Fifteen booths exhibiting aspects of traditional Chinese culture (arts, crafts, and food) will be set up outside the Convention Hall between 17:45 and 19:15 on September 28 (Tuesday). All attendees are welcome to visit the booths. Following are some details of the arts, crafts and food to be exhibited.

The cultural exhibits are free to all ICIP2010 attendees, while you need a ticket to attend the banquet.
