The Huawei Best Student Paper Award candidates were selected by the Area Chairs and the Technical Program Chairs based on the reviewers scores and a following selection process to identify the top eight papers. Student authors of these candidate papers were invited to make a presentation at the Huawei Best Student Paper Award Special Session where the Area Chairs present at ICIP'2010 gave scores using a 1-5 scale (ordinary to very good) to the papers by considering all relevant reviewing criteria plus the oral presentation. The three winners are the candidate papers with the highest scores computed by adding the Area Chairs scores. In case of a tie, the Technical Program Chairs would vote to select the winners. The announcement of the winners and presentation of the awards was held in the conference banquet.
